New Washer and Blasting Machine: Tawesco Modernizes Its Production Equipment
In 2026, we are continuing to modernize our production technologies. The new continuous blasting machine and industrial washer have replaced outdated machinery, increasing production efficiency and reducing energy consumption. Both investments are part of the “Energy Savings in Production Facilities” project, which is co-financed by the European Union.
New Industrial Washing Machine Saves Energy and Water
The new continuous washing line, costing approximately 13 million crowns, has replaced equipment dating from 1976. It is designed to clean steel stampings. It removes grease and other contaminants resulting from the stamping process and prepares the parts for subsequent welding, painting, and other manufacturing operations.
Compared to the original technology, it significantly reduces consumption of electricity, water, and process chemicals. Its more modern design allows for more efficient use of heat and better water management. In addition, parts emerge from the system significantly drier, which facilitates their further processing. Savings on electricity costs alone are expected to reach approximately 1.2 million crowns per year.
New Blasting Machine Speeds Up Surface Treatment of Steel Parts
The new continuous blasting machine, costing approximately 4.8 million crowns, replaced a machine that was more than 30 years old. The 22-meter-long system is used for the surface treatment of steel sheets, laser-cut parts, bent parts, and welded assemblies. Using tiny steel shot that strikes the material’s surface at high speed, it removes impurities, oxidation, and corrosion, and prepares parts for processes such as welding or painting.
While some parts had to be processed repeatedly with the original equipment, the new machine can perform the required treatment in a single pass. Thanks to its higher performance and lower installed power consumption, it streamlines production and reduces electricity consumption.
