TAWESCO Participated in the revived Kopřivnice Corporate Volleyball Tournament
After twelve years, a volleyball tournament for local companies was held again in Kopřivnice. The TAWESCO team also took part in the afternoon of sports. In addition to the athletic aspect, the event also had a charitable component. The games were played in support of little Oliver from Kopřivnice.
The idea to revive the tournament’s tradition was initiated by Stanislav Šimíček, deputy mayor of Kopřivnice, who reached out to local companies and organized this joint sporting event.
TAWESCO was represented by a nine-member team led by Miroslav Gilar. The competition was fierce, and it wasn’t enough to secure a victory this time, but what mattered more was the gathering itself and the desire to play sports together. For some colleagues, it marked a return to volleyball after many years.
This may very well lead to further opportunities. After the tournament, some team members already mentioned that they would like to meet regularly and continue playing together.
The tournament also had a charitable aspect. The participants supported little Oliver from Kopřivnice, whose family is raising funds for expensive neurorehabilitation and special assistive devices.
We thank the city of Kopřivnice for initiating and organizing the tournament, and all the teams for a pleasant afternoon of sports.
