The Schuler SHC hydraulic press with a pressing force of 2,000 tons is an impressive machine at first glance. But even more important is what it can do: automatically process deep-drawn parts weighing up to 100 kg! Only a few companies in Europe are involved in a similar program. However, most of them still rely on manual loading.
At TAWESCO we put it into operation at the end of 2022 and since then it has played an exceptional role in our press fleet.
The Schuler 2000 is 10 meters high, weighs 330 tons, and has 12,000 liters of oil circulating in its “veins.”
Thanks to the combination of a state-of-the-art press from the Schuler Group, automation from ABB, and a lubrication station from Eckardt, we can now process over 50 tons of material in a single shift.
We prepared the line entirely on our own. From the technical specifications to the coordination of the three main suppliers to the actual construction of the foundations, in which VAMOZ CONSTRUCTION participated. It took us three years of intensive work, but it was definitely worth it.
THE HARDEST PART WAS CREATING THE SPECIFICATIONS
There was no similar project that we could look at. Companies with similar technology simply did not want to let us in. But that is what pushed us forward.
Today, TAWESCO has equipment that meets the most demanding requirements for the production of smaller series of parts for agricultural, forestry, and handling equipment.
